Toyota bZ4X
Toyota has unveiled a new battery-powered bZ4X SUV, the first model in its new BZ (Beyond Zero) series of electric vehicles (EVs) based on a dedicated EV platform and designed for global markets. The new compact SUV is scheduled to be launched worldwide from mid-2022 including in North America, Japan, China and Europe. It is the first BEV on a new platform co-developed with Subaru.
Ineos Grenadier
Automotive startup INEOS is targeting 200 outlets for start of its Hambach-made Grenadier off-roader sales in July 2022, with partner agreements signed in Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East. North America is planned to follow in 2023. BMW iX
The flagship BMW electric SUV iX was new for the 2022 model year in North American markets, the first deliveries taking place in early 2022. In Germany, the first deliveries commenced in December 2021. In many countries, there are two versions: iX xDrive40 and iX xDrive50. An iX M60 would be added during 2022, BMW stating in June 2021 that it will have power in excess of 440 kW (600 PS). Production of this model is at Dingolfing, BMW Group's largest plant in Europe. The iX is put together on the same line as other models which have PHEV or combustion-only powertrains.
Toyota Tundra
The latest Tundra full-sized pickup is new for the 2022 model year. It gained a new frame architecture called F1 (or TNGA-F), coil springs for the back axle instead of leaf springs plus fresh engines and an aluminium-composite bed. There are two four-door options: Double Cab and CrewMax, as well as short bed, standard bed and long bed along with RWD and 4WD. The new Tundra will offer two powertrains: a twin-turbo V6 engine and a hybrid twin-turbo V6. What may be surprising to some is the hybrid powertrain will be the most powerful of the two.

At the 2021 IAA Mobility fair in Munich, BMW Group showed models and concepts promoting the circular economy and sustainable urban mobility. The group is aiming for 50% reduction in global CO2 use-phase emissions by 2030 and over 40% reduction in CO2 emissions during life cycle. Concept vehicles shown included two-wheelers.
