As vehicles become increasingly connected and software dependent, there are growing concerns over vehicle security.

In this issue, we consider the emerging cyber-threats and also talk to experts who shed some light on cyber fragility and steps that can be taken to combat it. A premium vehicle can come with 100 million lines of code. Any defects in that vast stream could potentially open opportunities for attackers which could cause a security, safety or functionality issue. It’s a lot to manage.

We have also taken a closer look at rapid progress in the rollout of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which many consider to be the vital building blocks of future autonomous vehicles.

In addition, we have found space for consideration of the future of motor finance, a look at the VW ID.Buzz and a review of where Toyota stands on advanced technologies.
